The Camden-Wyoming Rotary Club had a great time at the Wyoming Peach Festival this year. Club members volunteered their time to help with a variety of activities, including:
Passing out flyers and talking to the community about Rotary and its work
Giving out free water to festivalgoers
Helping to set up the festival grounds.
Holding a fundraiser for the club's scholarship fund
"We had a great time at the festival," said Rotary Club President Sue Simon. "It was a great opportunity to connect with the community and raise awareness about Rotary."
The Wyoming Peach Festival is a yearly event celebrating the local peach crop. The festival features a variety of activities, including a peach pie-baking contest. Craft vendors from the area and several surrounding states exhibited their products.
The Rotary Club is a service organization that works to improve communities worldwide. The club's motto is "Service Above Self," and its members volunteer their time and talents to help others.
